ACMS Cares

We are a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to Empowering Children with the necessary tools to make the best possible safety decisions before, during, and after school.

Our Mission

ACMS Cares is the non-profit benevolent arm of All City Management Services, Inc. ACMS Cares was created as an extension of our 30 + year commitment to children’s safety. Our mission is to empower children through safety education and safety preparedness programs! Our goal is to spread safety awareness to children, parents, and communities by providing a wide range of safety education resources that equip children to make the best safety decisions before, during, and after school.

The Crises in Our Communities

At ACMS Cares, we understand that children face an ever-increasing number of threats to their safety. Therefore, it is imperative that we focus on empowering them with confidence in safety education, and equip them with the tools to protect themselves.

Is your child prepared in the case of an emergency?

Every day thousands of children arrive home from school to an empty house. This leaves them susceptible to countless dangers that most are not equipped to deal with. More than 3.4 million children experience an unintentional household injury each year, and 2,300 children under the age of 15 die from these injuries.

The Solution: Our Safety Programs!

The Solution: Our Safety Programs!

Kids Safety Nation

Kids Safety Nation is the heart of ACMS Cares! While many of our programs are developed to stand alone, we believe that Kids Safety Nation reflects the long-term goal we have for ACMS Cares as an organization.  Our hope for the future is that every child in our nation will be empowered with practical safety information that will enable to them to take care of themselves before, during, and after school hours. We are diligently working towards this goal and will begin to hopefully launch our new programs this year, 2017.

Kids Safety Nation includes the following programs: Kids Safety Assemblies, Kids Safety Films, Kids Safety Dayz and Kids Safety Club. Each program is designed to use fun yet practical ways to engage and educate children in safety education, safety awareness, and safety preparedness.

Kids Safety Films

Our films will be the essence of Kids Safety Nation! We are hoping to showcase our films at our Safety Assemblies as well as all of our ACMS Cares community events. We are working hard to ensure that our films are of great quality, high impact, and representative of all children. Given 30 years of experience in school safety, we are very aware that children must connect and identify with our characters for them to be impactful and this is our goal. This is what makes our films so unique and our message so important. Each animated safety character has their own unique personality addressing a very specific safety issue that kids can relate to. Each film will include a protagonist and antagonist that have a “clan” of their own. The goal behind the characters is to directly address safety issues, and create playful yet practical ways for children to identify, and respond to various behaviors concerning their safety.

Wisdom

Wisdom is our main protagonist. She is small, yet smart, tough and clever! Wisdom is true to her name, as she always uses wisdom and keeps a lookout for danger. She is also helpful in spreading the message about safety practices, providing tips to kids of all ages on how to be safe, and when to call for help.  Wisdom, along with her heroic clan of protagonist: Safety Prime, Caution, Nimble and Hidey are determined to fight for the safety of all children on every campus across the nation!

Virus

Virus is our main antagonist. She is a true cyber bad girl, skillful yet manipulative and preys on the lack of safety knowledge in others. She is known for spreading rumors, gossip, pictures, and bad language online. She uses the internet to lie, bully and cause pain to other kids. Virus, along with her clan of antagonist: Violator, Bruiser, Stash and Chaos are on a mission to stop the safety characters from spreading best safety practices and knowledge to students nationwide!

Kids Safety Assemblies

Our Safety Assemblies will be high energy productions that bring an entertaining message of safety education and emotional well-being to schools nationwide. These Safety Assemblies will allow us the exclusive opportunity to have the undivided attention of children as we convey important safety tips and information to students of all ages. Our assemblies will bring together Students, Law Enforcement, Crossing Guards, and members of local Emergency Response Team to introduce, or reacquaint kids with safety practices, and provide them with tangible resources. The goal of our Safety Assemblies is to incorporate a unique mix of entertainment and practical safety education.

Kids Safety Dayz

At ACMS Cares, we believe that safety should be much more than learned, safety should be celebrated, and this is the heart behind Kids Safety Dayz! Kids Safety Dayz are community based events that will occur throughout the school year to celebrate the importance of safety education alongside our communities. We have designed these days to engage all members of the local community including: families, local schools and businesses, law enforcement, and emergency response teams. Each of whom help to reinforce the importance of children’s empowerment in regards to safety, and help bolster the significance of safety education and safety preparedness. Our goal at these events is to educate families and communities on “best practices” by providing safety materials that directly help them identify signs and prepare strategies together accordingly. Safety materials will include: emergency contact sheets, emergency fire escape plans, how to detect/ change smoke detectors when applicable, the importance of parent and child codes, what to look for when walking home alone and the list goes on. Our hope is that these events provide a wealth of information and fun for all who attend.

Kids Safety Club

We are in the developing process of our Safety Club. However, it will consist of both an after-school program and an online platform for kids to engage in safety activities at their leisure. The after-school program seeks to provide kids with the in-person support they need to learn and understand safety practices. They will participate in activities with their peers, work on safety projects, and receive rewards and recognitions for their knowledge and participation. This will continue to empower each student and reinforce a culture of safety at each campus. Additionally, the online platform will allow students to test what they’ve learned by playing safety games and participating in various safety challenges. In most cases, students will be presented with real-life situations and must choose the “best safety option” given the threatening condition. Our goal for the safety club is also to keep kids engaged on a meaningful, yet controlled technological platform.
