ACMS Cares

We are a Non-Profit 501(c)(3). We provide Safety Awareness and Safety Education to Empower Children, Parents and Communities.

Our Mission

ACMS Cares is the non-profit benevolent arm of All City Management Services, Inc. ACMS Cares was created as a unique way to empower children through safety education! Our mission is to raise safety awareness in the lives of children, parents and communities by providing children with the necessary tools to make the best possible decisions in their daily lives. With our safety education, children will be equipped to handle life before, during and after school.

The Crises in Our Communities

At ACMS Cares, we understand that children face an ever-increasing number of threats to their safety. Therefore, it is imperative that we focus on empowering them with confidence in safety education and prepare them with the tools to protect themselves.

Approximately three out of every four fire associated deaths and injuries involve matches or lighters. Only twenty-six percent of families have developed and practiced a home fire escape plan. What would your child do if a fire occurred in the home?

Bullying has become an increasing problem. An estimated 160,000 kids stay home from school every day due to the fear of being bullied.

Every day thousands of children arrive home from school to an empty house. This leaves them susceptible to a wide range of dangers that many are not equipped to deal with. More than 3.4 million children experience an unintentional household injury each year, and 2,300 children under the age of 15 die from these injuries.

It is estimated that 58 % of kids report having received hurtful comments online. As a result, children suffer from self-esteem and issues with personal and social development.

Over 1.69 million kids age 18 and under are living in households with loaded and unlocked firearms. Unfortunately, this often leads to death and or sever injuries that children and their families must cope with.

Every 40 seconds a child becomes missing or is abducted. In 80 percent of abductions by strangers, the first contact between the child and the abductor occurs within a quarter mile of the child’s home. Most potential abductors grab their victims on the street or try to lure them into their vehicles.

The Solution is Our Anticipated Programs!

Kids Safety Dayz

At ACMS Cares, we believe that safety should be much more than learned, safety should be celebrated, and this is the heart behind Kids Safety Dayz! Kids Safety Dayz are community based events that will occur throughout the school year to celebrate the importance of safety education with our communities! We have designed these days to engage all members of the community including: families, local schools and businesses, law enforcement, and emergency response teams. Each of whom help to bolster the significance of safety education and safety preparedness. Our goal is to educate children and families on how to keep safe before, during and after school.

Kids Safety Nation

Kids Safety Nation is a program we are developing that uses fun yet practical ways to engage and educate children in safety education, safety awareness, and safety preparedness. Kids Safety Nation is unique in that it will incorporate three different methods for educating children: Safety FilmsSafety Assemblies and Safety Educational Material. Our Safety Films will be presented at our Safety Assemblies, and the Safety Educational Material will be accessible for students, parents and communities by way of community circulation and our planned online platform.

Safety Assemblies

Our Safety Assemblies will be high energy productions that bring an entertaining message of safety education and emotional well-being to schools nationwide. These Safety Assemblies will allow us the exclusive opportunity to have the undivided attention of children as we convey important safety tips and information to students of all ages. Our assemblies will bring together Students, Law Enforcement, Crossing Guards, and members of local Emergency Response Team to introduce, or reacquaint kids with safety practices, and provide them with tangible resources. The goal of our Safety Assemblies is to incorporate a unique mix of entertainment and practical safety education.

Safety Educational Material

ACMS Cares is in the process of developing Safety Educational Material to further our safety efforts by providing easily accessible informational resources. We believe that this is the most practical way of teaching the importance of safety education. Students and families will be provided with safety material that directly helps students to identify signs and prepare strategies accordingly. Our safety material will include but is not limited to: emergency contact sheets, emergency fire escape plans, how to detect/ change smoke detectors when applicable, the importance of parent and child codes, what to look for when walking home alone and the list goes on. Our hope is that the material we provide serves as a primary resource of information when children need “tips” and quick instruction.

Kids Safety Films

Our films will be the essence of Kids Safety Nation! We are working very diligently to ensure that our films are of great quality, high impact, and representative of all children. Given 30 years of experience in school safety, we are very aware that children naturally look for ways to connect to and identify with the children around them. This is what makes our films so unique and our message so important. Each animated safety character has their own unique personality addressing a very specific safety issue that the kids can relate to. Each film will include a protagonist and antagonists that have a “clan” of their own. The goal behind the characters is to directly address safety issues and create playful yet practical ways for children to identify, and respond to various behaviors concerning their safety.

Kids Safety Club

Our Safety Club will consist of both an after-school program and an online platform for kids to engage in safety activities at their leisure. The after-school program seeks to provide kids with the in person support they need to learn and understand safety practices. They will participate in activities with their peers, work on safety projects, and receive rewards and recognitions for their knowledge and participation. Additionally, the online platform will allow students to test what they’ve learned by playing safety games and participating in various safety challenges. In most cases, students will be presented with real-life situations and must choose the “best safety option” given the threatening
